
Continue working towards the world you want to see with Ecolibrium3’s VISTA Corps. We are seeking two passionate individuals to join our cohort for a year of service to our community.
AmeriCorps VISTA members serve for a year building the capacity of local non-profit organizations and public agencies in the Northland with the ultimate goal of eradicating poverty. The Eco3 VISTA Corps addresses poverty holistically from various angles such as food access and systems, government policy, community development, education, public health, creative place making, energy security, and more.
We are currently accepting applications for a Rural Economic Development and Energy VISTA and a Communications and Impact Builder VISTA. Applications can be submitted using my.americorps.gov portal and are due Friday, April 4! Don’t wait to apply; applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
The Itasca Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) formed in 1981 as a 501c3 non-profit corporation dedicated to the creation of high-quality jobs in and around Itasca County. Throughout its history, IEDC has established itself as a go-to resource for business retention, growth, and expansion. Its mission is to grow Itasca County through education, research, and engagement fostering business and economic opportunities. Its vision is for a diverse and growing economy that supports opportunities for all of Itasca County.
Highlighted Member Duties:
- Research best practices for supporting rural communities going through economic transition
- Engage with stakeholders in planning, communications, surveys, and business retention
- Build systems to support ongoing efforts including CRM, social media, and events/communications management
Duluth’s Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) works to see people and places prosper by addressing comprehensive revitalization, affordable housing development and preservation, and building the capacity of local community development organizations to see that neighborhoods are places of choice and opportunity to all. Since 2007, Duluth LISC has invested over $90 million in housing and real estate, economic activity, incomes and wealth of families, education, and safe environments. Duluth LISC is dedicated to working with residents and community-based development organizations to transform neighborhoods into healthy places to live, do business, work, and raise families.

- Develop strategic communications plans for marketing, outreach, and storytelling
- Assess impact and program design
- Develop plans to improve capacity and areas of opportunity
