We’ve officially broken ground at the site of the Lincoln Park Solar Garden! After a year of development, the 40-kilowatt array will be installed over the next few weeks by local solar contractor Wolf Track Energy and connected to provide renewable power to Lincoln Park.
We’ve already installed a new driveway that will let us to properly access the site and have staked out the final design in the wild grasses along I-35.
Here is what you can expect to see on site in the next few weeks:
- The creation of an erosion control and stormwater management system.
- The pouring of concrete foundation and the installation of steel poles.
- Installing the mount and racking system, solar panels, and electrical components.
- The final hoisting and interconnection of the array!
We’re excited to complete the project, so look for communication from Ecolibrium3 regarding a socially distanced solar celebration in the near future! As always, we want to give a big thank you to all of our supporters, donors, and partners, including Minnesota Power and others, who contributed to this project.
Soon Ecolibrium3 will be supporting the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans and the Eco3 Energy Fund with renewable power, generated right here in Lincoln Park!
