Starry Skies North IDA

The Starry Skies North Chapter of the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) is a nonprofit dedicated to creating universal appreciation of the night sky and bringing awareness to the effects of light pollution, which can affect the ecosystem, human health, and the aesthetic beauty of an area. This is achieved by star-friendly outdoor lighting ordinances, developing regional astrotourism resources, and fostering active community groups that host accessible education, gathering, and outreach.
