New Staff Feature: Kelly Dupre

Kelly melds her passions for environmental health, teaching, and art to reach and create with other community members

Ecolibrium3 is pleased to welcome new staff member, Kelly Dupre! Kelly joins our staff part time as Community Outreach and Communications Specialist. She will be working with Eco3’s Climate and Community Team to help share, educate, and inspire the public about the ways in which we can work together to address environmental and community challenges. Kelly has been following along with Ecolibrium3’s projects for a number of years and cares deeply for the community and planet. 

Kelly is a teacher, artist, and author. She has extensive experience teaching science and biology, special education, and art. Kelly also worked as the Social and Emotional Coordinator in the Duluth Public Schools District, a special position designed to address COVID-related issues children have faced. Alongside her career in public schools, Kelly has cultivated her art skills, writing and illustrating several books. Her goal is to use art to build community and environmental stewardship. 

Earning a biology and education degree from St. Catherine University, and a Master’s of Education from the University of Minnesota, Kelly has a diverse educational background. She is excited to be part of working towards finding proactive and positive solutions to increase environmental stewardship and address social issues. Kelly’s passion for education and environmental health will make her a strong addition to the Eco3 team.

Kelly loves Duluth for its combination of the lake and plethora of outdoor opportunities. Kelly finds joy spending time outside, whether it’s hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, or camping. Welcome Kelly!
