Minnesota Public Utilities Commission
The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) regulates Minnesota’s electric, gas, and telephone industries. It’s mission is to “ensure safe, adequate and efficient utility services at fair, reasonable rates consistent with State telecommunications and energy policies.”
As citizens seek more sustainable and clean energy sources for power, it is important to be aware of this body that oversees decisions about what kind of fuel companies will be using, what the services will cost, what infrastructure will be needed, and how the service will be provided. Each regulatory process includes opportunities for citizen participation. Make your voice heard!
