Lake Superior Sustainable Farming Association
The Lake Superior Sustainable Farming Association (SFA) is a coalition of producers and consumers in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin that work to advance regenerative agriculture principles and move towards sustainable farming practices. They do this through farmer-to-farmer networking, education, demonstration, and research. Although many areas of focus are covered, two main themes for the Lake Superior Sustainable Farming Association are soil health and livestock integration.
The Lake Superior SFA hosts annual informational events, such as the Midwest Soil Health Summit, works with local chapters to provide farmer support networks, and encourages community support with events such as the Minnesota Garlic Festival.
