The Eco3 Urban Farm is looking for folks to help out during the 2023 Duluth Farm to School Field Day – Friday, May 19th.
The field day will connect 200 local youth from the Lincoln Park School District with farmers and educators. Students will participate in experiential learning while exploring Duluth’s local food systems and tour a working farm; take a natural trail hike; and learn about opportunities at Lake Superior College.
We need the help of volunteers in order to make this exciting event a success. We are asking volunteers to select one of the following:
- Help station leaders lead hands-on activities
- Lead interpretive nature trail hikes
- Lead games during lunch break
- Help with lunch set-up and/or clean-up
- Support students with accessibility needs
We are especially looking for volunteers to assist our experiential learning station leaders. Topics include pollinators and other beneficial insects; soil health and regeneration; photosynthesis; composting; local food; and sustainable farming in Duluth.
