We are thrilled to welcome 17 new AmeriCorps VISTA members and two new VISTA Team Leaders to our 2024-2025 Ecolibrium3 VISTA Corps Cohort! We look forward to an incredible year of service in our community and throughout the region.
The Eco3 VISTA Corps is a 19-member program designed to address poverty by emphasizing capacity building in the areas of health and wellness, climate, energy, housing, economic development, disaster preparedness, and food access. VISTAS are placed with various partnered organizations, including the City of Duluth, Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, the Duluth Folk School, Lincoln Park Children and Families Collaborative, University of Minnesota Duluth, CHUM, Carlton County Community and Family Initiatives Department, Mentor North, and Duluth Center for Women and Children.
Six of our AmeriCorps VISTA members and two Team Leaders are placed in the Eco3 office. These members will be working on various projects with topics such as the Eco3 Farm, sustainability and equity, energy, and economic development.
