Duluth Trail and Bikeway Plan
The Duluth Trail and Bikeway Plan was created as a guide for the development and management of Duluth’s trails and bikeways to create a comprehensive, connected and sustainable system serving residents, businesses and visitors. This plan builds on the “Duluth Comprehensive Land Use Plan” from 2006 and the “Duluth Parks and Recreation Master Plan” from 2010.
Some highlights of this plan include: diversifying trail experiences across the city; creating new trails in underserved areas; the improvement and addition of up and down trail routes connecting the lakeshore and ridge top areas; adding new trailheads and signage; and creating systems to make the city more bicycle friendly.
