Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Bikeways Plan
The Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Bikeways Plan is a comprehensive master plan for the integration of new bike lanes with existing roads throughout the twin port cities of Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin. This plan is laying the groundwork for the creation of safe and convenient bike lanes which will provide citizens of Duluth and Superior with greater accessibility to an alternative, affordable mode of transportation.
The latest update of the original 1994 plan was put forth in February of 2019 by the Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Interstate Council (DSMIC). The plan intends to complement the Duluth-Superior Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) which establishes a 20-year vision for the sustainable transformation of transportation in Duluth and Superior.
