Duluth Farm to School

Duluth Farm to School is a program funded through Essentia Health’s community benefit dollars that works with schools to support and develop school gardens, incorporate local food procurement into school menus, and develop robust nutrition education initiatives. It’s a way for kids to garden, be outside, and eat delicious, healthy food. 

Duluth Farm to School promotes healthy school food environments, empowering children and their families to make informed food choices. It also works to increase knowledge about nutrition, agriculture, and the environment. It also benefits local farmers, strengthens community connections and the economy, and overall contributes to a more sustainable and vibrant Duluth.
