A home assessment includes:
- HVAC and electrical system analysis
- Leakage test with blower door
- Thermal imaging
- Report and consultation
- Depending on household income, you may also qualify for free home energy upgrades like air sealing and insulation
Income Guidelines
We provide free home energy assessments for households that meet the income guidelines below. These guidelines are provided by the City of Duluth and updated annually; below are the 2024 guidelines.
Households that do not meet the guidelines below can pay for home assessment, and the cost is often offset or covered by utility rebates or other incentives.
