Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency Weatherization
The Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) was incorporated in April, 1965, as a non-profit organization and established as a Community Action Program (CAP) for the northeast Minnesota counties of St. Louis, Lake, and Cook.
Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (AEOA) Low-Income Weatherization Assistance provides weatherization services for homeowners and renters who are at or below 200% of federal poverty income. All homeowners and renters who have an approved application from Energy Assistance are eligible for weatherization services.
Highly qualified energy auditors evaluate the homes and then experienced and skilled work crews will complete improvements to reduce heating costs. Services are free for low-income households who qualify. Examples of improvements include: exterior wall and attic insulation; air sealing; testing; repairing; or replacing home heating systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
